Checkbook HD: Personal Finance App Reviews

This is a really terrible program. I gave it one star and it would not let me use a nickname that was taken. Hard to believe everything I put in was taken, but when I change the star rating to better it accepted a recent taken nickname. Guess they are tired of the bad reviews.

Good app. it works a little slow with iCloud but it works. I do think it’s missing two VITAL features: - the ability to decides whether or not an account balance is included in the total balance of accounts. - the abililty to give a transaction multiple catagories. when you go shopping at walmart, not all of your items will fit in the same category. duh! If they added both those, i would go from liking it to loving it.

I just got it, so I will update as I use it more. The reoccuring transactions component of the app crashes it unless you hold your mouth right.

Just started using this about 3 weeks ago, and absolutely love it!! It is very well organized, extremely user friendly and is also a ton of fun to use. It alleviates a lot of stress that exists as a result of trying to manage all my finances on paper! Great job

APP VERY GOOD

i loved this app, but after the latest upgrade I am having trouble with the iCloud sync between my devices which could be crucial.

Still the same “connecting to iCloud” for about 2 minutes then another minute of “Data processing” Stay away from this product at all costs!

This App worked fine until the iOS9 iPhone update. Now the App will not sync between my Macbook Air and iPhone. The App will not open on my laptop and I have sent several reports to Apple. The App on iPhone when opened continues trying to connect with iCloud to no avail. I have also contacted Apple Support which was not helpful. My laptop and iPhone have the lastest updates.

not working after the update

I bought this app for the main perpose of syncing all my accounts, my phone, and computer. I spent a long time typing in every account, withdraw, bills, due dates, and a lot of other info. I thought great, now all I have to do is open it on my phone and I can look at my budget with no surprises. Surprise, it dosnt sync at all! until this is fixed, it is not a “buy” in my book!

I sync this with my iPad, along with The Bills apps. So far they have replaced my iMac Quickbooks 2009. But I still run them in parallel in case something happens. I have found some duplication and mistakes which I have to watch for. Not sure how they happen if they are from me or the application. iCloud data transfer had gotten a bottle neck specially during The Holidays. Probably Programming staff on vacation. Looks like a Cloud-Industry issue. I recommend this to anyone.

Originally got this to run from ipad/iphone and Mac. This function works pretty good but don’t have it opened on to devices st once. It automaticlly reconciles entries with a green check mark, but you can change that in setting. About the only checkbook app that works with Mac, ipad and iphone that syncs. My only real con is that I would like the recurring bill to post 31 days prior to forecast my balance, if I post them manually it changes their date to today’s date and I then have to change the date back.

Love this app!!!! It lets me easily keep track of the money I spend. It does the math for me. It connects my iPhone to my iMac, so I can keep track of my spend when I at a store, or i’m buying online.

I recently migrated to this app to keep track of my finances, and I’m happy with it! It’s attractive, intuitive, efficient, and can be used on multiple platforms (admittedly the main reason I switched! I would like to see hidden accounts (eg my savings act doesn’t figure into my everyday cashflow, but I still want to keep track of it) and debit accounts (eg I’d like to keep track of how much I owe on various loans). Other than that, I’m very happy with this app!

Terrible program that simply doesn’t work. Customer support consisted of me being told that I must be using the wrong user name and password for the bank accounts I have had for years. The fact that I am able to easily connect with Quicken doesn’t seem to phase them. $11.99 I will never get back.
